Avoya - Travel

Avoya was shot over a week onboard a ship island hopping in the Caribean. We shot on Alexa Mini with Leica R lenses, primarily on steadicam. We did some underwater work in the ocean and in a hot tub (LOL, no surprise that scene got cut.) using a Nauticam water housing from rented from Hydroflex. This was the first time I’ve shot underwater with the lens wide open at f1.4 and while it did take a few attempts to line up the action when we finally nailed the shot the bubbles and ocean looked dreamy. The only thing this shoot was missing were aerials. Fingers crossed we have a bigger budget on the next one.
